Dr. King

Marilee King, DVM - Owner/Managing Veterinarian

Dr. Marilee King has been a Veterinarian for over 10 years. She grew up here in Anderson, Ca and graduated from Anderson high School. Dr. King attended Vet School a Washington State University and started practicing medicine in Gig Harbor, WA. Shortly after moving home, she began working here at Anderson Veterinary Clinic and eventually bought the practice.

She has devoted all her time and energy to growing this clinic, in hopes of being able to provide our local community with affordable, high quality veterinary medicine.

Dr. King loves animals, always has, even as a young child. She has raised, breed and shown Siamese cats for over 30 years. Now she has 2 chocolate labs, Cache and Viza, one of which is a blood donor for our clinic.

Dr. Cline

Michael Cline, DVM - Senior Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Michael Cline came to this community from Durham, Ca in his early 20’s. He started working here at Anderson Veterinary Clinic as a kennel worker tending to the pets. Moving his way up thru the ranks and eventually became a RVT (registered veterinary technician) working for the previous owner, Dr. Walker.

After spending all of his young adulthood working for Anderson Veterinary Clinic, he decided to go to Vet School. He was accepted at University of Wisconsin, Madison. After graduating he moved back and returned to his post at Anderson Veterinary Clinic, but this time as a doctor.


Crystal Leachman

Chavon Pryor, DVM - Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Pryor graduated from Shasta College with an AA transfer degree in 2003, San Francisco State University with a bachelor's degree in zoology in 2006 and Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine with a DVM in January 2011. While earning her undergraduate degrees, Dr. Pryor worked as a veterinary assistant for Dr. Brian Harvick in Shasta Lake City, for Dr. Lewis Brogan in Chico, and Dr. Anna Woolley in Castro Valley, California. Now, Dr. Pryor is happy to be a member of the veterinary team here at Anderson Veterinary Clinic.

Dr. Pryor is the mommy of four wonderful pets. Toad is a two year old male Bearded Dragon. Ally is a five year old spayed female Toy Fox Terrier. Fuki is a ten year old spayed female domestic short hair orange tabby. Samantha is a fourteen year old spayed female brindle Staffordshire Terrier. When not taking care of your pets Dr. Pryor enjoys a wide variety of outdoor recreational activities. These activities include but are not limited to Snowboarding at Mt. Shasta Ski Park and in Tahoe, Wakeboarding, Knee boarding, and Tubing at Lake Shasta, Motocross and trail riding on her dirt bikes, taking a ride through the countryside on her street bike, or simply spending time with family and friends.


Sara Frost

Sara Frost – Practice Manager

Sara graduated from Beyer High School in Modesto, CA. She moved to Redding, CA in 2001. She started off as an Office Manager at a local health club for 6 years. Then came to work here as a Practice Manager in July of 2007.

Sara enjoys BBQ's, camping, horseback riding, and spending time with her family and friends every chance she can get. She has 2 wonderful children Brandon 12, Katelyn 5. Her family's pet consists of 3 dogs a Pitbull "Diesel", Australian Shepherd "Brody", Mutly "Luke" and 2 cats "Tyson" and "Sugar".


Crystal Leachman

Crystal Leachman - Office Manager

Crystal grew up on a dairy farm milking cows, feeding calves and caring for a large array of other animals. She loves animals of all kinds! Starting as a receptionist in August 2007, Crystal’s friendly nature and fantastic social skills help the Anderson Veterinary team greatly. Crystal has now grown in the position of our Office Manager while also working in reception with our clients and patients. Her friendly smile and willingness to always help at the drop of a hat, has made her a favorite. Her love and compassion for furry critters are certainly appreciated by clients and staff alike. Living in the Anderson, Cottonwood area her whole life is where she will stay! Although working full time, Crystal enjoys camping, boating, hunting and most of all spending time with her 4 amazing children Shyanne, Clayton, Paige and Kayden, her family and friends. Crystal owns 2 dogs, “Molly” a Walker hound and her 4 pound Chihuahua “Ella”, our littlest clinic dog.


Denise Walters

Denise Walters, RVT - Registered Veterinarian Technician

Denise Walters, RVT has been working in the field of veterinary medicine for 15 years starting as a kennel attendant/tech assistant and progressing to the certification as a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2000. I completed my undergraduate core requirement education at Iowa State University and participated in an “On The Job” training syllabus program at the Animal Emergency and Referral Center of Central Iowa in conjunction with Kirkwood Community College. I have worked in a full spectrum of veterinary practice types including 24 Emergency/Critical Care, Surgical Referral as well as private practice in various parts of the country including Iowa, Hawaii and now California. I am a member of the CVMA. When I am not here at the clinic helping to care for your beloved pets I am working on my second passion which is the breeding, training and showing of my Champion Australian Shepherds. I have extensive knowledge of the health and genetics of purebred dogs and I am so proud to be the breeder of multiple generations of champion dogs that are represented not only all over the United States but around the world. You may even have seen my dogs on TV at the Westminster Kennel Club and Eukanuba Nationals Championship Dog Shows. I am so proud to be a member of the great team here at Anderson Veterinary Clinic where we strive to give the best quality veterinary care to each and every one of our patients.

Odessa Wright

Odessa Wright- RVT - Registered Veterinarian Technician

Howdy, My name is Odessa. I was born and raised here in Northern California on a beautiful horse ranch with a large assortment of animals. I am currently owned by 4 furry four-legged children and I have a wonderful understanding husband. I graduated from Bel-Rea Institute of Veterinary Technology in Denver, Colorado with an Associates Degree in Veterinary Science. In my spare time I enjoy camping, fishing, horseback riding, hiking and spending time with my family. I am a member of the Redding Women’s Rodeo Association, CVMA and various other organizations. My newest hobby that now occupies my time is traveling the US showing my Australian Shepherd “Bunni”. Hopefully in the near future you will see us winning on TV.
